Description: Accidental finding, a patient complained of severe, constant pain which did not ease with painkillers. Diagnosis: Irreversible pulpitis. Two X-rays with different angulation were taken to assess if there was any perforation. No perforation was discovered on the radiographies or under magnification. This is different from external resorption, in an internal resorption when the pulp tissue is removed, the process stops. Root canal treatment was performed as usual and the tooth is now asymptomatic and functional.
